Evidence of partial apomixis in process of hybrids identification using RAPD analysis to new cultivar breeding in Allium tuberosum R. population collected in Korea was revealed. In total, 24 cross combinations were made by cross-pollination using 12 lines. The percentage of parthenogenesis in these 12 lines ranged from 82.0% to 96.0%. The same RAPD bands with their pistillate parent were found in almost all cross-seedlings crossed by common A. tuberosum lines except for "YCA 9" and "YCA 15" ones. The percentage of apomixis in 5 lines of common A. tuberosum population ranged from 88.0% to 94.4%. When "YCA 9" and "YCA 15" lines except for 10 ones were used as pistillate and staminate parents in 15 cross combinations, the percentage of apomixis ranged from 0.0% to 31.8%. Numerical and structural alteration were highly represented in 88 hybrids obtained from 5 cross combinations of "YCA 9" and "YCA 15" lines. In addition to, the percentage of parthenogenesis ranged from 70.0% to 100.0% in 105 hybrids obtained from cross combination of "YCA 9" and "YCA 15" lines. From the results of apomictic A. tuberosum x apomictic A. tuberosum crosses, the percentage of apomixis showed great variation in combinations that were crossed with some special individual within A. tuberosum population. Since partial apomixis was occured in some individual within A. tuberosum population.
